On March 30, 2026, Saskia Buhr sold her first painting at auction.

The work — Day and Night, acrylic on canvas, 50 × 50 cm — was purchased by a Turkish couple at the IART Gallery auction in Tbilisi for $125. It was the first time one of her paintings changed hands in a public sale.
Day and Night was painted in 2025. The canvas is divided between two worlds: a warm upper realm of reds, pinks and yellows — sun, flowers, energy — and a deep blue lower world of abstract shapes and restless movement. A small blue horse stands at the threshold between them.
The IART Gallery is one of Tbilisi’s leading contemporary art spaces, known for supporting young Georgian and international artists.
Saskia is currently in her second semester at the Tbilisi Academy of Arts.
